Charles Beaty/Beatty is listed in the 1840
Lincoln County Census. That same area would become Catawba County
in 1942. There were 14 people living on the family farm
- 3 adults and 11 children. There is no indication who the
elderly female was - probably Charles Manson or Judith's mother
but no indication as to which one. Both of their mothers died in
1842. Gilbert Manson Beatty would have been 11 years old
at the time of the Census. |
